Bio

Dr Vassilios Vassilakis is a Research Fellow in Security Engineering at the University of Brighton and a member of the Secure and Dependable Software Systems (SenSe) cluster. He is involved in the EC H2020 SESAME (Small sEllS coordinAtion for Multi-tenancy and Edge services) project. His main research interests are in the area of security and privacy in next-generation mobile networks, focusing on Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), Network Function Virtualisation (NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN), and Small Cell as a Service (SCaaS). He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, and also worked as a Research Fellow in 5G Networks at the Institute for Communication Systems (ICS), University of Surrey.
